Election Hustings taking place TONIGHT at North Bank (28 Pages Lane) – apologies for the short notice

Confirmed candidates in attendance: Dawn Barnes (Liberal Democrat), Jarelle Francis (Green Party), Ed McGuiness (Conservative), Catherine West (Labour).

The focus of the hustings will be on the Climate Emergency, Youth Safety and Housing.

The event starts at 6.30pm but drinks are available from 6pm.

Haringey Council will be re-pollarding plane trees in the following roads on the dates scheduled below:

Collingwood Avenue: 25/11/19 – 6/12/19

Leaside Avenue: 2/12/19 – 13/12/19

Fortismere Avenue: 9/12/19 – 20/12/19

Birchwood Avenue: 16/12/19 – 24/12/19

Firs Avenue: 16/12/19 – 3/1/20

Grand Avenue: 6/1/20 – 17/1/20

Church Crescent: 6/1/20 – 17/1/20

Cranbourne Road: 13/12/19 – 17/12/19

Curzon Avenue: 13/12/19 – 24/12/19

Methuen Park: 20/1/20 – 31/1/20

The Police Safer Neighbourhood Team are introducing a new evening shift which will finish at 11pm instead of 8pm. This is good news as it means that the our local Police working on this shift will be available for longer in the evening to patrol or to deal with incidents which occur in the late evening hours. The new roster is due to start in November 2019

Sunday 3rd November and Saturday 9th November

Muswell Hill Sustainability Group is inviting local residents to visit energy-efficient homes in Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Alexandra Park, Highgate and Tottenham.

Free tours are on offer to inspire your next home improvement project.
On show are include Edwardian villas, a 1920s former London County Council property, a top floor flat, and the cob and straw eco building at the Meadow Orchard community garden. Features include underfloor heating, an air source heat pump, rainwater harvesting and a green roof.
