07/23 Work Begins at 100 Woodside Avenue

Construction work is set to start at 100 Woodside Avenue where Haringey Council is building 41 new homes on the former Cranwood House care home site. Haringey contractor, Formation Design and Build Ltd expects to begin the main construction from the week commencing Monday 07 August 2023. It is set to be completed by the end of 2024.

Work will be carried out as follows:

  • Monday to Friday – 8 am to 6 pm (deliveries 9.30 am to 3 pm)
  • Saturday – 8 am to 1 pm (both work and deliveries)

Vehicles, materials, and machinery will arrive at the site via Great North Road and Woodside Avenue. There will be an increase in traffic on Woodside Avenue.

From 07 August, Formation Design and Build Ltd expects the initial construction work to last 8-10 weeks and include installing the foundations for the new homes and breaking up the existing concrete slab of the former care home.

This is the estimated start date and may change.

Haringey Council will be holding two public question and answer ‘Meet the Contractor’ meetings during September with the team building the new homes:

  • Saturday 09 September (11 am-1.30 pm) at the Royal British Legion (Muswell Hill & Highgate Branch), Muswell Hill Rd, Muswell Hill, N10 3NG;
