Alexandra Park and Palace Walking Tour

17 September, 11am

Guided walk around Alexandra Park and Palace. Led by experienced guide, Julian Woodfield, this is an interesting walk discussing the history of the BBC at the Palace, the WW1 internment camp, the circus, the history of hot air ballooning and Dolly Shepherd, the CUFOS community centre and a visit to the secret nuclear observation bunker in the park.

The walk takes about an hour and 15 minutes. We will not access the interior of the Palace but it is a very enjoyable wander around the park.

Numbers are limited to 15 and is open to Association members only. Places will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Please contact meetings@mhfga.org to book your place.
