Objection to School Streets – Update

School Street signageThe Muswell Hill & Fortis Green Association understands that Haringey’s proposal for School Streets has been revised and will not affect Elms Avenue, Pages Lane and Creighton Avenue any more.  The Association had objected to Haringey’s original proposal to close several Muswell Hill streets during school starting and finishing times because of the

  • poorly advertised informal consultation on the matter and the manner in which it was presented;
  • lack of evidence on the nature of the problems the closures purport to solve; and
  • lack of any robust analysis of the impact of the closures.

The proposal still includes Collingwood Avenue, Dukes Avenue, Grand Avenue, and Muswell Avenue
