Objection to School Streets Closures

School Street signageThe Muswell Hill and Fortis Green Association objects to Haringey’s proposal to close Collingwood Avenue, Creighton Avenue, Dukes Avenue, Elms Avenue, Grand Avenue, Muswell Avenue, and Pages Lane during school starting and finishing times. The Association has written to Haringey, objecting, among others, to

  • the poorly advertised informal consultation on the matter and the manner in which it was presented;
  • the lack of evidence on the nature of the problems the closures purport to solve; and
  • the lack of any robust analysis of the impact of the closures.
