Consultation – Electric Vehicle Charging Points

The Council proposes introducing 32 new electric vehicle charging points (EVCPs) at 16 locations across Haringey. In the Muswell Hill area they will be: Ellington Road N10 3DD, opposite 5/7 Ellington Road; Everington Road N10 3DG, adjacent to 41 Coppets Road. The proposed layout for each site can be found at https://www.haringey.gov.uk/new-ev-charging.
The new electric vehicle charging points will have two sockets on each side to allow two vehicles to charge at the same time. All will be installed on traffic islands or buildouts on the road to ensure footways are kept clear for pedestrians.
The locations have been considered and selected as a result of resident requests and area demand. Site investigations have been carried out and agreed upon with the Council’s provider to ensure the sites are suitable. The proposed charging bays will be for the sole use of electric vehicles and form part of the Source London network. They will be accessible on a ‘pay as you go’ basis using a debit/credit card or by Source London members.
To introduce the EV Charging points and legally enforce their use, Haringey is required to carry out a statutory consultation. All information will be made available on the council’s dedicated EVCPs webpage.
The consultation will end on 26 February 2025 and provides a 28-day period for interested parties to make representations or object to the proposals.
