ALEXANDRA PALACE AND PARK DECEMBER 2025 REPORT

ALEXANDRA PALACE AND PARK DECEMBER 2025 REPORT

Main points from the Board of Trustees of the Alexandra Palace and Park Charitable Trust October meeting:

  • MHFGA Committee Member and Newsletter Editor, Duncan Neill, has been appointed Chair of the Alexandra Palace Consultative Committee for the year.
  • The two-night Fireworks Festival was a success, with attendees reporting that the drone show was even better than last year.
  • In the Palace building, the East Court Café (East Wing) has undergone a substantial refurbishment. Temporary installations were removed and replaced with a new floated floor containing integrated services, eliminating previous trip hazards. The space now benefits from durable, cleanable finishes and a completely updated electrical system, all designed to be reversible and sympathetic to the historic fabric while improving functionality and hygiene standards.
  • Under the Trust’s resilience and fundraising goal, the Individual Giving Programme has formally launched. The new Founding Ally Pally Patrons scheme has already attracted supporters at all three membership levels (starting at £600 per year), while promotions for Name a Bench, Name a Seat, Gifts in Wills, and the relaunch of regular donors (as Ally Pally Supporters) are planned for spring 2026. These initiatives aim to grow sustainable annual income to support the Park and Palace’s long-term future.
  • In the park, the Alexandra Park Club has proposed new Sports Pavilion shutters incorporating the club logo. These require advertising consent, and the committee reviewed design options. The proposal forms part of ongoing facilities improvements and will contribute to the visual refresh of the pavilion.
