Stopped the Archway Road motorway

In the 1970s and 1980s, plans for an urban motorway along the Archway Road threatened to drive a six-lane highway through the heart of North London. MHFGA was a leading voice in the coalition that fought the scheme, and it was eventually dropped, preserving the character of the surrounding neighbourhoods.
