Preserving the Pinkham Way green site and woodlands

For almost ten years, the North London Waste Authority has been pressing to develop a 300,000 tonnes per annum waste plant at Pinkham way, a Grade One Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) just north of Muswell Hill and south of the North Circular Road. The ensuing North London Waste Plan has been opposed throughout by the local community and by the Pinkham Way Alliance, which since 2011 has been providing submissions to a succession of public inquiries.
The next Examination in Public (EiP) of the North London Waste Plan (NLWP) is scheduled for 20 and 21 November and could determine whether or not a waste processing plant will be built.
The Pinkham Way Alliance has October to prepare the necessary Waste Plan submission. For more information and support, see the Pinkham Way Alliance website.
